The Octopus App for Business is an official application developed and managed by Octopus Cards Limited, and is available on both the Android and iOS platforms. It allows you to sign up for an Octopus Business Account via your mobile device, to accept Octopus card* and Octopus Wallet payments. *Accepting Octopus card payment requires:
- Android – Android 6.0 or above with NFC enabled. Pairing Octopus Mobile POS – the same Android versions apply;
- iOS - iPhone 7 or newer with iOS 13 or above. Pairing Octopus Mobile POS - iPhone 5S or newer with iOS 11 or above

No, you can't. For due diligence in accordance with the Guidelines on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (for Stored Value Facilities Licensees), you need to submit all the document proofs to open a Business Account.
Under normal circumstances, your Business Account application will be approved in a few business days* upon uploading or submitting all valid document proofs. However, you are required to submit or upload the relevant documents again in the event of incomplete or unclear information or images, which may delay the application. Upon the approval of a Business Account, you will receive an SMS and an email notification. You can then start receiving payments with the Octopus App for Business right away.
*We have received many applications recently, so it will take a little bit longer to process your application.
