You can top up anytime, anywhere by using:

1. Octopus Wallet
2. Faster Payment System (FPS) with electronic Direct Debit Authorisation (eDDA) set up in Octopus App
3. Designated bank app via Octopus App
4. Hong Kong-issued Mastercard and Visa credit or debit cards in Google Pay
5. UnionPay via Octopus App

As with all Octopus, you can also apply for Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) for your Octopus on Android, or top up by cash.

To top up Octopus on Android with Octopus Wallet, FPS bank account or designated bank app, please follow the steps below:

• Open the Octopus App and select the "Top Up Octopus" button in the home page;
• Select Octopus Wallet, FPS bank account or designated bank app, then input top up amount and press "Top Up" to proceed;
• Proceed with Octopus Wallet authentication;
• Press "DONE" to complete top up of Octopus on Android.

To top up Octopus on Android with credit or debit cards in Google Pay, please follow the steps below:

• Open the Octopus App and select the "Top Up Octopus" button in the home page;
• Select "Google Pay", and select credit card/ debit card in "Google Pay", then input top up amount and press "Top Up" to proceed;
• Proceed with Google Pay authentication;
• Press "DONE" to complete top up of Octopus on Android.

To top up Octopus on Android with UnionPay, please follow the steps below:

• Open the Octopus App and select the "Top Up Octopus" button in the home page;
• Select "UnionPay", then input top up amount and press "Top Up" to proceed;
• If you have UnionPay App installed, proceed with UnionPay App authentication;
• If you do not have UnionPay App installed, proceed with UnionPay website, input your payment information and authenticate;
• Press "DONE" to complete top up of Octopus on Android.

To top up Octopus on Android through Google Wallet, please follow the steps below:

• Open the Google Wallet;
• Select “Octopus”;
• Select "Top-up" button on Octopus on Android enquiry page;
• Proceed with the “Top-up” process through Octopus App;
• Select/input top up amount, then press "Payment Method";
• Select your preferred top up method;
• Proceed with Octopus App authentication;
• Press "DONE" to complete top up of Octopus on Android.

Note: If you cannot find details related to Octopus in Google Wallet, please go to the Octopus App. Aside from the “Find My Device” feature in Google Wallet, all Octopus functions can be accessed through the Octopus App.

To apply for AAVS, you must provide the Octopus number, which can be found by following the steps below:

• Open Octopus App;
• Select Octopus;
• Click on the Octopus card image;
• Check Card Info.

You can activate AAVS for your Octopus on Android by following the steps below:

• Open Octopus App;
• Select "More";
• Select "Automatic Add Value Service";
• Select "Activate AAVS";
• Fill in the required information for activation.
