1a. What are the requirements to get a Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple Watch?

Before adding your Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple Watch, please ensure:

• You possess a valid physical Citi Octopus Credit Card (Platinum/Gold Card);
• You have added the Citi Octopus Credit Card to Octopus App;
• The Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) of the Citi Octopus Credit Card is activated;
• No pending instructions of Automatic Add Value Service (AAVS) for the Citi Octopus Credit Card, including but not limited to change of AAVS auto-reload amount

1b. How many Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple Watch can I get?

Every physical Citi Octopus Credit Card can only provision one Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple Watch.

1c. Can I upgrade the AAVS auto-reload amount after I provisioned a Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple Watch?

If the AAVS auto-reload amount of your Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple Watch is HK$250, you can upgrade the auto-reload amount to HK$500 instantly via Octopus App. Click here to learn more.

There is no annual fee associated with a Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple Watch.

Just select Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple as your Express Transit card in Apple Wallet, then your Citi Octopus Card on iPhone or Apple Watch will be the default Octopus in your device to make payments.

Yes. In order to transfer an existing Octopus to another device, you must first sign in to both devices with the same Apple ID. To transfer between iPhones, you must remove the Octopus from original device before adding it to the second device. To transfer between an iPhone and a paired Apple Watch, you must use the Watch app. The transfer should be done in an environment with a strong network signal. You will not be able to attempt the transfer process if you have entered an MTR gate and have not yet exited.
