OKAdd Octopus Mastercard to Apple Pay
Apple Pay is a Mobile Payments solution available to Octopus Mastercard® cardholders. It provides a simple and secure way to pay using your compatible Apple devices. You can add your Octopus Mastercard to Apple Wallet, to make transactions with your Apple device in-store and online.
Apple Pay works with most iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad and Mac devices. For the latest list, refer to https://support.apple.com/en-hk/HT208531
To add your Octopus Mastercard to Apple Pay, download the latest version of Octopus App, open it and follow the simple steps for your compatible device:
- Tap "Octopus Mastercard" in the main menu, and click "Add to Apple Wallet".
- Read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
- Receive an SMS and enter the verification code, and your Octopus Mastercard is ready to add to Apple Pay.
To set your Octopus Mastercard as the default, go to Apple Wallet, select the card and drag it to the front.
For security purposes, we may ask you to enter a verification code to confirm your identity. If prompted, please follow the on-screen instructions to receive and enter the verification code.
No, there is no additional cost for using Apple Pay.
You can use Apple Pay in-store with contactless payment terminals. You can also make in-app purchases where Apple Pay is provided as a payment option.
Yes, you can use Apple Pay overseas in stores with contactless payment terminals.
Apple Pay requires an active internet connection for card registration and activation. However, an active internet connection is not required to make in-store purchases.
You can check all the transactions you make in Octopus Wallet. Plus, you can also see the last 10 transactions made through Octopus Mastercard via your device in the Apple Wallet.
Yes. When you disable Apple Pay or remove Octopus Mastercard from Apple Pay, you are only suspending the Device Account Number that has been assigned to your Apple device.
When you add a card to Apple Pay, a unique Device Account Number is allocated by Apple Pay to represent your card. Your full card details - except the last 4 digits of your card number, for easy identification - are never shown in the app and never shared with merchants.
If your Apple device has been lost or stolen, you can temporarily suspend Apple Pay by using the “Find my iPhone” app, or you can sign into www.icloud.com and select “Lost Mode” or permanently remove the ability to make payments from your device by selecting the “Erase All” option and delete all your cards from Apple Pay.
You can also log in to your Octopus Wallet via another device and then disable your Octopus Mastercard. If you are using Octopus Wallet Plus or Pro (Verified), you can also contact us for Octopus Wallet suspension.
If you change your device to a new model, you will need to add your Octopus Mastercard to Apple Wallet again.
Please make sure to delete your Octopus Mastercard information from Apple Pay before selling your device, or handing it to a third party for repair.
Yes. You need to register your new Octopus Mastercard information in Apple Pay.
