How can I get an Octopus Mastercard?
If you are an Octopus Wallet Plus / Pro (Verified) holder, you can sign up for the Octopus Mastercard instantly through the Octopus App; no income proof is required. Once you get the card, simply tap to enable it to enjoy shopping right away. If you are not yet an Octopus Wallet user, sign up for Octopus Wallet now!

Click "Apply Now" and accept "Terms and Conditions".
Step 3
Your Octopus Mastercard is ready.
Simply turn on the enable button, you can use your Octopus Mastercard right away.
Is there any age limit to apply for an Octopus Mastercard?
To be eligible to get an Octopus Mastercard, you have to be an Octopus Wallet Plus / Pro (Verified) user. And you have to be aged 13 or above^ to upgrade your Octopus Wallet.
^Applicants aged 13 or above can upgrade the Octopus Wallet to Plus, and applicants aged 18 or above can upgrade to Octopus Wallet Pro (Verified).
Do I need to provide any documents or income proof to apply for an Octopus Mastercard?
No, you don't need to provide any extra documents to sign up for the Octopus Mastercard.
Can I apply for more than one Octopus Mastercard?
Each Octopus Wallet user can only have one Octopus Mastercard that link to the Octopus Wallet.
I am using an iOS device, can I apply for the Octopus Mastercard?
As long as you are an Octopus Wallet user, you can apply for an Octopus Mastercard in the Octopus App, with your iOS or Android device.
What security features does the Octopus Mastercard have?
There are a host of features that give you peace of mind when you shop online with the Octopus Mastercard:
- In-App push notification messages will be sent to you for each transaction
- You can turn on or off the Octopus Mastercard with one click to decide when you want to spend with the card
- You can also set "Maximum Amount Per Transaction" to have greater control; simply set your own limit in the App
- When you make a transaction at an online merchant participating in Mastercard SecureCode®, you will receive a One-time password (OTP) through push notification via the Octopus App in order to complete the transaction. This serves as an extra security measure to authenticate your transaction.
