FAQ

It is an official Weixin Mini Program developed and managed by Octopus Cards Limited, available in WeChat App (Android). This Mini Program allows you to enjoy the following services:

• Top up physical Octopus anytime, anywhere with RMB using Weixin Pay Mainland China Wallet
• Register physical Octopus to check the balance and transaction history of your Octopus
• Check the history of the top up transactions paid with Weixin Pay Mainland China Wallet

It is applicable to NFC-enabled Android mobile devices only.

You must fulfill the following requirements to use the top up service in the Mini Program:

• Weixin account registered with Resident Identity Card issued by the People’s Republic of China.
• Weixin Pay Mainland China Wallet with RMB balance or linked with the Mainland-issued credit/debit cards

The following Octopus can be supported:

• On Loan Octopus
• Sold Octopus

The following Octopus cannot be supported:

• Mobile Octopus
• Cross Border Octopus (including Octopus – China T-Union Card)

1. Open WeChat App
2. Tap “Discover” in the menu bar at the bottom, then select “Mini Programs”
3. Tap the magnifier icon on the top right corner, then type “Octopus Reloading”
4. Tap the Octopus logo icon to open the Octopus Reloading Mini Program
