FAQ

1. Tap “Manage Octopus” in the home screen
2. Place your physical Octopus at the NFC position of your phone until completing the card reading process
3. Input Octopus number according to on screen instruction and tap “Register Octopus

You need to register your Octopus to check transaction history. For unregistered Octopus, only the remaining value will be shown.

Steps:

1. Tap “Transactions & Balance” in the home screen
2. Place your physical Octopus at the NFC position of your phone until completing the card reading process
3. The last 10 or 40 transactions of your Octopus (depends on card type) and the remaining value will be shown

1. Tap “Top up History” in the home screen
2. The last 20 top up transactions made with Weixin Pay Mainland China Wallet in the past 180 days will be shown

You can check the last 20 top up transaction details in the past 180 days, e.g. top up amount in HKD, payment amount in RMB, transaction date and time etc. under “Top up History” in Octopus Reloading Mini Program. Or you can check the system message sent from Weixin Pay.

This is due to the system failing to recognize the transaction status. Please use your Octopus to make a payment or top up transaction so that the system can determine the previous top up transaction result. The system will then update the status to “top up successful” or will arrange a refund.

You can register a maximum of 20 Octopus.
