Adding value to Octopus with spare coins
The Hong Kong Monetary Authority launched the Coin Collection Programme in 2014, with two "Coin Carts" to collect coins from the public in various districts, free of charge. Users can choose to exchange their spare coins for banknotes, add the value to Octopus, or donate to the Community Chest.
