Octopus Rehabilitation Transportation Subsidy Scheme Concluded Successfully

The Octopus Rehabilitation Transportation Subsidy Scheme was successfully concluded on 30 September 2022.

Octopus Cards Limited (OCL) and the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation jointly launched the Octopus Rehabilitation Transportation Subsidy Scheme on 1 April 2014. The scheme enabled wheelchair-bound people with financial difficulties to use the Accessible Hire Car Service provided by The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation to attend medical appointments and participate in social activities, aiming to help them better integrate into the community.

Since the scheme was launched, it has accumulated over 4,100 members and provided more than 57,000 point-to-point rides to this community. Including their accompanying family members, the total number of passengers has reached 150,000 (as of 30 September 2022).

OCL will continue working with different partners to empower the needy in creating a harmonious and caring society.
