Overview

As Hong Kong’s iconic brand with the vision in becoming the most preferred payment and lifestyle companion that connects customers and business partners through our best-in-class products and services, the Octopus Group is committed to operate in a sustainable manner to help improve the environmental, social and economic aspects of Hong Kong. As such, the Group has integrated sustainability principles in its vision, mission, core values and operations to steer the Octopus Group towards becoming a sustainable company.

Sustainability Governance

To hold ourselves accountable, we have established relevant policies and a governance structure to make sure we deliver on our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitment.

Our Corporate Sustainability Policy spells out the overarching ESG goals in terms of corporate governance, stakeholder engagement, environmental protection and community investment, and the management approaches in reaching these goals. It also sets out the framework on how Octopus’ sustainability initiatives and performance will be measured, monitored and reported while at the same time ensuring compliance with industry standards for continuous improvements.

Octopus Group Corporate Sustainability Development Committee (OGCSDC) was established to guide us and take performance to the next level, meanwhile a dedicated working group was also set up to implement OGCSDC’s decisions and directives, and engage fellow employees to take action in achieving goals in sustainability.
