OKFaster Payment System (FPS)
FPS allows you to access money in your bank account, 24 x 7 and top up your Octopus Wallet / Card anytime, anywhere! Our FPS services enable you to:
- Set up an electronic direct debit authorisation (eDDA) to transfer funds from your own bank account to your Octopus Card / Wallet.
- Make fund transfer via designated bank app in the Octopus App
- Log into online banking or banking app, and make a fund transfer to your Octopus Wallet with your Octopus Wallet number
- Register for FPS addressing service for your Octopus Wallet to receive fund transfer with your phone number
The service is available for Wallet Plus and Pro (Verified). The registered name and mobile number of your bank account must be the same as your Octopus Wallet. Please note that joint name bank accounts may not be supported.
* Some banks only accept applications for this service from users who are 18 years old or above. For more information, please inquire with the bank.
Please follow the steps below (available for Wallet Plus or Pro (Verified)):
- Tap "Instant bank transfer via Faster Payment System" in main menu.
- Tap "Bank Transfer to Octopus Wallet".
- Select bank, then input bank account number* and select the Daily Transfer Limit. Tap "Next" to proceed.
* If you are using Bank of China (Hong Kong), please select bank code (012) and input the 14 digit bank account number. - According to your bank's settings, please go to your online banking or banking app to make a fund transfer to your Octopus Wallet or approve/authorise the eDDA before the deadline.
- When your setup is approved / rejected, you will receive an SMS.

- Tap "Bank Transfer to Octopus Wallet".
- Input top up amount.
- Review information, tap "Confirm".
- Top up successful. The transaction record will be displayed.

Your bank account setting can be changed/cancelled in the Octopus App by clicking the "Cancel Instant Bank Transfer Service" button in the Octopus App "More" > "Settings"> "Bank & FPS" > "Instant Bank Transfer Service (eDDA)" page. Once the change request is submitted, your bank account setting with us will no longer be valid.
Regardless of Wallet types (including Wallet Lite), you can top up your Wallet / Card by transferring money via designated bank app in the Octopus App.
You can also log into your online banking or banking app, and make a fund transfer to your Octopus Wallet with your Octopus Wallet number. In Octopus App, tap "More" and you can find your Octopus Wallet number under your account name to copy.
- In your online banking / banking app, under FPS transfer section select recipient institute as "Octopus Cards Limited (949)".
- Paste/fill your Octopus Wallet number (with the bracketed digit) and input any required information. To top up Wallet Plus or Pro (Verified), please input recipient holder name as the Octopus Wallet holder full name in our record.
- When the fund arrives your Octopus Wallet, you will receive a push notification.

- Tap "Instant bank transfer via Faster Payment System" in main menu.
- Tap "Addressing Service Settings".
- Tap "Register Addressing Service".
- Accept the T&C, tap "Confirm".
- Registration is completed. You will receive a push notification.
Please follow the steps below (available for Wallet Plus or Pro (Verified)):
- Tap "Instant bank transfer via Faster Payment System" in main menu.
- Tap "P2P".
- Under "Contacts", select recipient to pay.
(You can also enter the recipient's phone number) - Input amount, select Default Account or other bank/e-wallet of the recipient, tap "Send".
- Confirm the payment.
- Payment is completed.
Please follow the steps below (available for Wallet Plus or Pro (Verified)):
- Tap "Instant bank transfer via Faster Payment System" in main menu.
- Tap "P2P".
- Tap "Input bank / e-wallet account no."
- Input amount, select recipient's bank / e-wallet, input his/her account number* and full name.
* The account number can contain up to 14 digits. - Confirm the payment.
Please follow the steps below (available for Wallet Plus or Pro (Verified)):
- Tap "Wallet" in main menu.
- Tap "Transfer out".
- Input transaction amount, tap "Transfer".
- Confirm the transaction information and transfer fee.
- Transaction is completed.
The list of supporting banks / e-wallets is updated from time to time, the list can be found in the Octopus App. You may refer to Question 13 and 14 above for a step-by-step guide.

All payment transactions cannot be cancelled once completed. Please ensure the recipient and transfer details are correct before you submit the transaction. If you have mistakenly made a payment to a wrong person, please contact them directly to arrange to have the money reimbursed to you.
If the case cannot be resolved, you can raise refund request by downloading the Octopus Wallet Mis-Transfer Transaction Refund Request Form and submit the completed form to us by email or mail.
